Marriage Licenses

$40.00 per license

Please present three (3) forms of valid I.D. when you apply for a Marriage License such as:

Driver's License, Birth Certificate / Passport and Social Security Number.

Both the Bride & Groom must be present at time of license registration.

Please bring prior certified divorce papers or death certificate should either apply.

There is a 24 hour waiting period from the time you take out your license to the time you may be married. The license itself is good for 60 days.

This office issues various licenses and permits such as:

Dog Licenses - Peddlers Permits - Tow Truck Permits - Taxi Permits

Junk Dealer Permit - Yard Sale Permits - Handi Cap Parking Permits

& D.E.C. Conservation Licenses.

We also maintain the official minutes of the Town Board as well as file all

Local Laws, Ordinances and Resolutions with the proper agencies.

Please bring your entire tax bill when making payment in person. You may also make payment by sending your entire bill to the address listed above. We will mail you a receipt.

Please write your section, block & lot # on your check
(i.e. 12.-5-9).

FOR ANY RETURNED CHECKS

AFTER MARCH 15th NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE CERTIFIED FUNDS.

**FURTHER NOTE: If your taxes are in escrow, rest assured, your bill has been forwarded to them electronically.

This bill is for your records only. You will get a receipt after the bank pays your bill **

You may obtain a duplicate tax bill or check the status of payment by either contacting us or visiting our web site @www.taxlookup.net/fallsburg - January 2nd - April 1st. ONLY.
We do not maintain this web site after the tax collection warrant has closed.

An additional penalty of $2.00 will be added to your bill if you have not paid your taxes by the time the collector begins sending out unpaid tax notices on or after 3/3/08, as required by NYS Law.

If you no longer own this property or have an address change, please return the bill to the assessor with the new owner’s name and address or forward the bill to the rightful owner.

You may be eligible for Senior Citizens Tax Exemption on your PRIMARY RESINDENCE ONLY. Senior Citizens have until March 1, 2008 to apply for such exemptions. For information please write or call your Town Assessor. Address Changes, Veterans Exemptions, Firefighter Exemptions and the STARR Program may also be applied for by contacting:
